The Alessia Piccolo’s Team is glad to announce two important reinforcements for the upcoming season: Janneke Ensing, Dutch girl, born in 1986, and the Australian Carlee Taylor, born in 1989.
Janneke Ensing has spent the last two seasons in the Dutch training Parkhotel Valkenburg, she won for two consecutive years (2014-2015) the place of honor at the Classica di Primavera Gent-Wevelgem Women Elite. In 2016 she finished in 5th position in the overall ranking of La Route de France and won the dot jersey as best climber, right in front of Carlee Taylor.
The Australian girl Carlee Taylor after defending the colors of the Liv-Plantur Dutch Team, she chose the Alé Cipollini for 2017. She is very competitive climbing athlete, as shown by the results obtained in recent seasons. In 2015 she finished third in the overall standings at the Trophée d’Or Féminin (France), then wore the jersey for best climber for four stages in the Giro d’Italia International Female.
Satisfied with the recruitment drive Sports Director Fortunato Lacquaniti: “Janneke is very strong athlete on the pass, with a robust and powerful physique. She touched twice the success at Gand-Wevelgem, winning two second places. In our team she will grow again, I’m sure she will be an important player for the #yellowfluorange team.
Carlee, however, is an athlete who defends herself very well uphill. After a season full of falls and injuries, she is ready to get back into play, above all when the road rise. In 2015 she made the life difficult to who won the green jersey of best climber at the Giro Rosa. I believe that with the right motivations and in a new contest, she can give a big contribute to the team and she will be able to take off some satisfaction in important races.
We hired two athletes in harmony with the characteristics of the team philosophy, two girls who like to attack and live the race as protagonists.”
Alé Cipollini Team in 2017 confirmed itself more and more international and visible, even outside the Italian borders: there are in fact six foreign athletes who defend the Alé Cipollini 2017 colours. Two Australian, a German, a Spaniard, a Lithuanian and a Dutchwoman, that have chose the formation of Alessia Piccolo.
